IE Description:

The EMC Implementation Engineer (IE) certification from EMC Certification was established in 2001 and is aimed at students who are currently employed in the Enterprise Network environments, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the EMC Implementation Engineer (IE) certification.

The EMC Implementation Engineer certification certifies that a successful EMC Implementation Engineer has learnt the knowledge need to implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of EMC networked storage solutions. The successful EMC Implementation Engineer certified student will have knowledge of the Development of expert knowledge in the implementation and configuration of networked storage, backup and recovery, and business continuity software and solutions in multiple storage platforms, operating systems, and network environments is available through this track and its related specialties. These are all fields in the Enterprise Network environments.

IE Prerequisites:

The EMC Implementation Engineer certification is only available to students who have 6 to 12 months of experience implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of EMC networked storage solutions.

To be awarded the EMC Implementation Engineer certification, the EMC Implementation Engineer student must successfully pass one exam namely; the EMC E20-040 EMC Technology Foundations exam has a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and is thus only a moderately difficult exam. This exam is available in English only.

A successful EMC Implementation Engineer student will hold the EMC Implementation Engineer certification indefinitely.
