The CompTIA (A+) certification from CompTIA Certification was established in 1993 and is aimed at students who are currently employed in the memory, bus, peripheral, Operating Systems (Windows ME and Windows XP) and wireless technologies, or those who want to find employment in those environments, and want to obtain the CompTIA (A+) certification.

The CompTIA A+ certification certifies that a successful CompTIA A+ has learnt the knowledge need to starting point for various system administration and network administration certification. The successful CompTIA A+ certified student will have knowledge of the configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. These are all fields in the memory, bus, peripheral, Operating Systems (Windows ME and Windows XP) and wireless technologies.

The CompTIA A+ certification is available to anybody.

CompTIA (A+) Required Exams:

To be awarded the CompTIA A+ certification, the CompTIA A+ student must successfully pass two exams namely; the CompTIA 220-301 (A+ Core Hardware) exam and the CompTIA 220-302 (A+ OS Technologies) has a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5 and is thus only a moderately difficult exam. This exam is available in English, Japanese, German and French.
